As a Trauma-Surgical Nurse at Denver Health, Stevie learned the ins and outs of wound management. We can provide surgical or non-surgical, chronic or acute wound care. Often times, a skin tear can require immediate attention. We work on triage, and can often visit within a few hours for urgent needs to avoid a visit to urgent care.
We can fill pill boxes weekly, biweekly, or monthly. We can alert the doctor or family if a patient is having adverse reactions related to a medication or if a medication is running low.
We offer comprehensive in-home care for Foley and Suprapubic catheters, including saline or antibiotic flushes, monthly replacements, and education on management techniques to prevent urinary tract infections.
We can administer ordered IV antibiotics through a PICC line in the comfort of your home.
We can provide daily insulin injections on an on-going or short-term basis. We can also help to coordinate with the patient's provider to ensure the most practical insulin regimen, suggesting long-acting and oral hypoglycemic agents where appropriate.
Emergency Department visits and hospital stays can be overwhelming. Our nurses have extensive hospital experience, and can help to translate any medical information, as well as help the patient and their family advocate for their personal health goals.
A lot can be discussed at doctor's appointments that can affect the patient's health goals and interventions. Our nurses can attend these appointments and advocate for the patient, and then update family with a summary or any concerns. *Basic transportation can be included in this service if needed*
When you or your loved one's health begins to change, friends and family can have differing opinions on what the next steps should be. Denver Concierge Nursing can make a one time visit to provide an unbiased opinion that takes into consideration our assessment of the individual and the patient's goals of care.
